We’re in need of a superstar!! This is a unique opportunity available for an experienced Account Manager to join our established agency.

Skipper & Skipper are an experienced yet young company at an exciting stage of growth. As our Account Manager, you will be given the opportunity to grow in your role and get hands-on with projects from day one.

The two most unique things about this role is that we are a full service creative agency that only works with health and wellness clients, and the second is that you will be working as an account manager and will have the ability to work from home around the hours that you choose - although you must be available for client communication during normal working hours. We’ll chat more about this when we meet!

We’re offering a flexible, market-based salary with additional benefits to the right candidate. This role will suit someone who wants to be exposed to senior-level marketing and work in a non-traditional agency environment.

Your role as the sole Account Manager will be to build strong client relationships, managing their expectations through the lifecycle of a project, and advising them on how to make the best marketing choices. The Account Manager will be able to take a strategic brief and turn it into clear instructions for the creative department, managing it from start to finish, ensuring the project is delivered on time and in budget.

As such to be the right Account Manager you’ll have experience gained working within an agency and inhouse, managing a variety of marketing projects, including branding, creative, campaigns and digital. While experience with wellness clients isn’t a prerequisite, having some B2C marketing experience is essential.

The reason for the marketing-aspect being that a lot of our clients are on the smaller-side and we pride ourselves on being able to support them in a marketing capacity.

Due to the current unique environment of the agency, you must also be comfortable with working with remote clients and functional teams in different time zones.

Deliver excellent client service:

  • Understand the client – their business, products, objectives, marketing ideas and creative likes and dislikes

  • Sound project management and planning skills, judgement and first class organisation skills

  • Deliver excellent client service and develop strong relationships with key clients.

  • Understand each client’s expectations and deliver to those requirements

  • New business development – pitch and organic growth

  • Passionate about the wellness sector and keeping fully in touch with developments and trends

  • Good understanding of project finances and commercials – estimating, timings, costs and invoicing

Be a marketing expert:

  • Understand different marketing activities, when to use them and how to optimise each activity

  • A genuine passion for marketing and delivering results

  • A good grounding and successful track record in managing the delivery of marketing activities

  • Experience of managing creative & market research process.

  • A good understanding of design and digital trends plus website functionality

  • Ensure campaigns that we deliver are the best that they can be

  • Take ownership of projects from start to finish

  • Understand how to optimise design for each activity

  • Understand studio creation processes, print production and their digital service

  • Experience in managing social media and digital marketing.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £28,000.00 to £35,000.00 /year

Education: Bachelor's (Preferred)

The role has lots of responsibility from day one, so you should be comfortable in your skills to handle several client projects at once and the confidence to lead them – but of course, we will support you every step of the way
